Signs Before the Wave — 4/5

July 1, 2026

MORE IS LOSING VALUE

Something is changing in the way swimwear is edited at retail level.

After years of expansion, multiplying capsules and increasingly fragmented assortments, many buyers are moving toward sharper and more coherent selections. The objective is no longer breadth for its own sake, but clarity.

Swimwear is increasingly positioned as part of a complete wardrobe system, where resortwear, bodywear and ready-to-wear interact more fluidly.
In this context, editing becomes a form of authority.
What matters is not how much is shown.
But how precisely it is selected.
